Leading chip manufacturer Qualcomm has unveiled two new 5G mobile platforms and the world’s first 5G-supported extended reality (XR) platform at its annual tech summit.
Qualcomm Announces New 5G Supported Processors: Snapdragon 865, 765 and 765G. Qualcomm started its first day of know-how summit in Hawaii by asserting three new smartphone processors. Along with its high-end processor Snapdragon 865, the corporate unveiled the upcoming Snapdragon 765 and 765G with an built-in 5G modem.
On the Tech Summit, Qualcomm first introduced Snapdragon 855, the sequel to the following flagship processor, the Snapdragon 855 and 855 +.
The Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform, which includes the Snapdragon X55 Modem-RF System, is a global 5G platform designed to deliver unmatched connectivity and performance for the next generation of devices, according to Qualcomm.
“Snapdragon 865 supports the world’s most advanced 5G connectivity and features, raising the bar for what a mobile device should be,” said Alex Katouzian, senior vice president and general manager of the Mobile Business Unit at Qualcomm Technologies Inc.
Snapdragon 865 helps 8K video seize at 30fps and 8K video decoding at 60fps.
